PICFX Picture Editor & Borders App Reviews

I purchased Picfx in the summer of 2014, and have been an active and avid user of the app in the two years since. Love it, its done wonders for all of my pictures. However, this latest update removes some features I relied on; they are absolutely nowhere to be found. Also, I see filters that are locked?? Like I paid $1.99 for this app as it is, I should have access to any and all filters Picfx has to offer. Id really appreciate changing it back to what it was; please stop "updating" things and making the app worse.

I use Picfx in conjunction with Photoshop for iOS as I find Picfx filters more intuitive and easier to apply while the layers make the app invaluable...

I pretty much only use this app now. I dont mess with the Instagram filters after using these.

I love that you can layer the filters but I miss being able to select a style for the photo such as; black and white, vivid, light, dark, sepia, etc. I liked being able to combine those with the filters. Without that feature this app is a lot like many others I have.

This has truly been a great app for altering, improving, framing, & playing with photos. Really nice range of filters & extremely easy to use. As an artist, I use it often. For posting pics, I use it almost every day.

Love the app use it all the time, worth every cent! Not a fan of the update with the added cost for certain filters.

Ive used this app for years and LOVED a specific few of the filters. Over time Ive been able to use many and with the ability to layer filters & intensity its been able to grow with me as Ive learned to edit much more effectively & creatively. The most recent update (10/7/16) they made a major change to the magic wand feature, which previously was a favorite subtle addition of mine since the beginning! The old magic wand was perfect in its intensity - just adding minor contrast & brightness, but the new magic wand is way over saturated & super grainy/ugly. Im not sure if anybody actually likes their photos like that? Is there any way possible to bring back the old magic wand?! Is there a way to get back to the old version?! Anybody have any ideas? ;) Your app has been a favorite & staple in my phone edits for so long... really dont want to have to go find a new one.

I used to love this app before I made the mistake of agreeing to the last update, which I completely regret. In one update this app went from my favorite photography app to my most useless. What is most galling is that I actually paid for this utter failure. Is there a way to revert to the way PicFX was in 2015 when I first downloaded it? Help!

I really like the filters - I pretty much use the same one on all my Instagram pictures so they will match. The one thing is I wish it could do it for my videos too. (Boomerang videos) I cant get them to match to my pictures because I dont have the same filter.

Been using this app for the past couple of years and I havent downloaded any others. Still my favorite and its convenient!

Love the filters, but it constantly crashes when I try and upload it to Instagram or my camera roll!! No bueno.

Ive had this app for about a year and have loved it until last week. It always crashes after I try to add one filter or save it. Pretty disappointing. Please fix the problem!!

The layers in this app are rich and exquisite. Normally my preference is to either make basic-function adjustments using the built-in iPhone photo editor, or simply leave the photo as-is. When a photo deserves a particularly vivid spark or flare, however, I go to Picfx. There are so many wonderful ways to redefine images through the app. They bring out graphic, conceptual, or emotional traits that an otherwise untouched image may miss. Worth the purchase!

Ive had this app for a while now and I must say it is great! the filters just make my pictures so perf. LETS GET FILTERS FOR OUR VIDEOS TOO!

I have used a lot of editing apps & this one is always a constant fave for me.

Honestly, with most of my photos I use Camera+ to do fine edits and then slap on a percentage of one their filters. But frequently the result looks great but a bit generic. In contrast, PicFX has tons of layers, in a wide variety of subtle tone shifts and gradients. Of course intermix these so possibilities expand. I dont use this aspect as much nit the opportunity to ad scratches and textures is good to have. My solid number 2.
